Denby Brandon, III, CFP, serves as Vice-President, of Brandon Financial Planning, Inc., and President of Brandon Investments, Inc.  He joined the firms on November 8, 1982.
 
Mr. Brandon is a third generation member of his family associated with the financial planning firm which was co-founded in 1952 by his father and grandfather.  Mr. Brandon was a 1972 graduate of Memphis University School.  He received his undergraduate education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  While at SMU, he was active in the Kappa Alpha Fraternity.  He earned his BBA degree at SMU in 1976.  He received his Master of Business Administration degree from Memphis State University in 1979.  He earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) degree from the College for Financial Planning of Denver, Colorado, in 1984.  He is a member of the Financial Planning Association.  He holds the
           
Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations from the American College.  He is also a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.  He has been named to "Who's Who in America".
 
 He had over three years experience in banking starting with the management training program of First Tennessee Bank, N.A., Memphis, in July, 1979.  From July, 1980, to October, 1982, he was associated with BancTEXAS Group, Inc., a Dallas-based bank holding company.  He held positions with BancTEXAS/Dallas, N.A. and BancTEXAS/Sherman, N.A.  Prior to his present position, he was assistant Vice-President, Commercial Loan Officer at Banc Texas/Sherman N. A.
 

He is an Elder at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, Memphis.  He is a member of the Racquet Club of Memphis.  Among his hobbies and interests are tennis, travel, and the theatre.  He is married to the former Sarah Buntin and they have three children, Elizabeth Holt Brandon, William Denby Brandon, and Mary Buntin Brandon.
